International Student Halls of Residence Application Information
Academic Year 2026/2027
On behalf of the Accommodation Office of Széchenyi István University, we are pleased to welcome you to our university community.
Széchenyi István University operates a network of Halls of Residence at five locations, providing accommodation for International Students.
Our Halls of Residence are:
- Hegedűs Gyula Hall of Residence (Győr)
- Multifunctional Building (Győr)
- Off-Campus Hall of Residence (Győr)
- Cuha Street Hall of Residence (Győr)
- Cserháti Sándor Hall of Residence (Mosonmagyaróvár)
Halls of Residence Application
Before submitting your application, you must register at user.sze.hu.
After completing your registration, you can access the accommodation application system at dormitory.sze.hu using your university credentials.
Application period:
31 July 2026 (Friday) – 30 August 2026 (Sunday)
Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee admission to the Hall of Residence.
Applications will be evaluated after submission, and the result of your application will be available within 7 working days through the dormitory.sze.hu system.
As the number of available places is limited, we are unfortunately unable to offer accommodation to every applicant.
Accommodation cannot be provided without submitting a valid application.

Please note the following:
- We are unable to accept any corrections or complaints after the application deadline.
- Once an application has been submitted and finalized,it cannot be modified.
- Applicants whodo not yet have a valid visa or residence permit are not eligible to apply. Please return to the application system after receiving your visa or residence permit.
- Single-room accommodation isnot available. Students are accommodated in shared rooms only.
- Due to the limited number of available places, requests for single-room accommodation cannot be considered.

Accommodation Fee Information
Students with self-financed status or an extended Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship are required to pay an accommodation fee of 40,000 HUF per month.
Students holding an active Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship are exempt from paying the accommodation fee, as it is covered by their scholarship.
Payment Obligation
One semester of Hall of Residence accommodation consists of five months.
By accepting a place and checking into the Hall of Residence, students acknowledge the following payment conditions:
- Students who move outby 30 September 2026 are required to pay one month's accommodation fee.
- Students who remain in the Hall of Residencefrom 1 October 2026 onwards reserve their accommodation for the remainder of the semester.
- Consequently, students moving outon or after 1 October 2026 are required to pay five months' accommodation fees, even if they leave the Hall of Residence before the end of the semester.
Important Information
Please note that the University Card is mandatory for all students. Entry to the Hall of Residence is only possible with a valid University Card.
